A Slow Stay in Siem Reap
Shared routines, familiar faces, and room to be yourself.
Siem Reap is more than a doorway to Angkor’s ancient temples—it’s a city where history and everyday life weave together in unforgettable ways. Our Turtle Leap here is about stepping into the local culture, not racing through it.
Over two weeks, we’ll settle into a slower pace: wandering among centuries-old ruins at sunrise, sharing meals in family-run restaurants, exploring local markets alive with color and flavor, and relaxing together in the calm of riverside evenings.
This Leap is about connection—both with Cambodia’s rich culture and with the fellow Turtles who will share the journey. By the end, you’ll leave not just with photos of temples, but with stories, friendships, and a deeper sense of what it means to travel at a slower pace.
When we visited Siem Reap last year, we quickly realized it was a place worth returning to. There’s so much to experience here, from ancient history to everyday culture, that a single trip just isn’t enough. This Leap is our chance to go back and share it with our fellow Turtles.
Why this city is a good fit for a Leap:
Each Leap is designed to remove the usual friction of travel, so you can focus on settling in, connecting with others, and enjoying day-to-day life in one place.
Together, these pieces create a shared stay that feels supported and flexible, without a packed schedule or pressure to participate in everything.
While Leaps are intentionally unhurried, we do come together regularly for shared experiences around the city. These are not fixed itineraries, but examples of the kinds of activities the group may choose to enjoy together.
Shared activities during the Leap may include:
All walks and visits are self-guided, with meetup times and locations shared in advance. You’re always free to explore independently, spend time in smaller groups, or do your own thing.
Several open days are also built into each Leap. Past participants have used these days to organize their own outings, enjoy meals together, or simply slow down and recharge. How you choose to participate is entirely up to you.
Our central location makes it easy to explore Siem Reap and return to a comfortable base each day.
