Tirana is a city of contrasts. It’s colorful, energetic, and full of stories that reveal Albania’s unique journey. Shaped by its communist past, it’s now defined by creativity and reinvention with bold architecture, vibrant street art, and a welcoming local culture.
Our Turtle Leap here focuses on experiencing everyday life in Albania’s capital while discovering the city’s most iconic sights.
Over two weeks, we’ll wander lively neighborhoods and leafy boulevards, explore Bunk’Art and Skanderbeg Square, and enjoy meals that showcase Albania’s blend of Italian, Greek and Balkan flavors.
This Leap is about immersion—getting to know Tirana beyond the surface, connecting with fellow travelers, and discovering why this dynamic city feels both rooted in history and bursting with new energy.

Shared Activities During the Leap
While Leaps are intentionally unhurried, we do come together regularly for shared experiences around the city. These are not fixed itineraries, but examples of the kinds of activities the group may choose to enjoy together.
Shared activities during the Leap may include:
- A welcome gathering early in the stay to get to know one another and get oriented
- Neighborhood, city and park walks at a relaxed pace
- Visits to museums and cultural spaces, such as Bunk’Art 2 – a museum located in a communist era pit bunker
- A day trip to Krujë to see the 5th-century fortress
- A farewell gathering near the end of the stay to share stories and stay connected
All walks and visits are self-guided, with meetup times and locations shared in advance. You’re always free to explore independently, spend time in smaller groups, or do your own thing.
Several open days are also built into each Leap. Past participants have used these days to organize their own outings, enjoy meals together, or simply slow down and recharge. How you choose to participate is entirely up to you.

Single Occupancy
One person per apartment, with a private space to settle in and live independently.
Double Occupancy
Two people sharing one apartment. Pricing is shown per person.
Each air-conditioned apartment is roughly 301 sq ft (28 m²) and comes with a kitchen, 1 bedroom, and 1 bathroom with a shower and a bidet. The well-equipped kitchen has a stovetop, a refrigerator, kitchenware and a tea and coffee maker. This apartment has a mini-bar, flat-screen TV, and city views. Breakfast is included.

Deposit & Next Steps
A $395 per person deposit is required to request a booking and reserve your spot. The remaining balance is due 100 days before the start of the Leap.
