Leap FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions)
What is a Leap?
A Leap is a small-group, adults-only travel experience designed around community, connection, and a slower pace.
Rather than following a packed itinerary, Leaps bring a group of like-minded travelers together in the same place, at the same time, with shared lodging and a few optional group activities. You’re free to explore on your own, spend time with others, or do a mix of both.
The focus isn’t sightseeing or checking boxes. It’s creating space for meaningful conversations, shared moments, and the kind of travel that feels relaxed, human, and memorable.
Will Amelia and JP facilitate the Leap?
Yes. We’ll be your on-site facilitators for all current Leaps.
We’ll welcome you when you arrive, help the group connect, organize some activities and meals, and support the overall tone and experience throughout the stay.
Can I bring my children?
No. Leaps are for adult couples and solo travelers only.
The pace and focus of these trips is designed for adults. Younger travelers typically wouldn’t enjoy the experience.
What’s the group size?
Most Leaps include 12–20 travelers, depending on the destination and accommodations.
We keep the group small so it feels social without being overwhelming. It’s large enough for variety, but small enough for genuine connection.
Is there a set itinerary?
Yes, and no.
We’ll organize several group activities and share a loose daily plan in the private Leap space. Some activities may be included in your Leap fee; details are listed on each Leap’s page.
Nothing is mandatory. You’re free to participate as much (or as little) as you like. You can explore on your own, join activities organized by other members, or simply enjoy unstructured time. How you spend your time is completely up to you.
Are air and ground transportation included?
Airfare is not included. Travelers are responsible for booking their own flights to and from the Leap destination.
Ground transportation during the Leap varies by location. Some local transportation may be included as part of group activities, while other transportation (such as airport transfers or personal outings) may be on your own.
Full details are shared in the private Leap space after booking so you’ll know exactly what to expect before making travel plans.
Why don’t you share the name of the lodging for Full Leaps?
The lodging we select is always comfortable, well-located, and well-suited to the Full Leap experience, but the heart of a Leap is the people, not the hotel.
We share lodging details only with confirmed participants. This helps us protect the privacy of the group, avoid outside drop-ins, and maintain the intimate, community-focused atmosphere that makes each Leap feel special.
Can I arrange my own lodging for Full Leaps and still attend the Leap?
No. Full Leaps include both lodging, included activities, and the community experience.
Staying together in the same accommodations is a key part of what makes our signature Full Leaps special. It makes connection easier, deepens shared experiences, and helps create the relaxed, communal feel we’re aiming for.
Mini-Leaps provide more flexibility and allow you to arrange your own lodging.
Can I arrive early or stay after the Leap?
Absolutely! And we encourage it!
You’re welcome to arrive early or stay longer to adjust to jet lag, altitude, or simply enjoy more time in the destination. Any extra lodging and planning outside the official Leap dates are your responsibility, but we’re happy to share tips.
When should I book flights and travel insurance?
After you’ve paid your deposit and your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive access to the private Leap space.
That’s where you’ll find details about airports, transportation, lodging, and any onward-travel requirements. Once you have that information, you can confidently book flights and travel insurance.
When are payments due?
Full Leaps: A deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your spot on the Leap. The remaining balance is due 100 days before the Leap start date. We’ll send a separate invoice ahead of that deadline with payment instructions.
Mini-Leaps: Full payment is due at the time of booking to secure your spot.
